I'm glad for you and others who have done some research on this issue. At least you DID NOT RUSH TO JUDGE Fr. Suarez, unlike some arrogant, self-righteous people here who even REFUSED to get the facts. They were tripping all over themselves in the mad rush to attack a priest.

Get the facts first. That was my point in my posts. Thanks all for acting upon it. Carry on.
are you reading...... it already has facts. try reading this thread

"Pabor ka sa mga pari nga nag negosyo using the name of God? instead of mag serbisyo sa Ginoo?"

-Dli naman na need ug facts cguro... kung naa kai common sense (again) you can easily differentiate which is business or not.. agree ka?

Kanang plano ni Pader... unsa man tawag nimo ana diay? Don't tell me usa ka na-ilad? Sebisyo na? LMAO!!!

There is nothing wrong with that 1 billion peso project "if the people who donated the money agreed on it and want it in the first place". Who are we to stop them? Even Jesus didn't castigate Mary Magdalene for pouring very expensive oil to Jesus feet, she could have given it to the poor where money will be well spent (I don't know if that statement made sense to athiests though). Same story. Again, please take note of the IF.

Given the extensive construction and manpower requirements of the project, it is likely that it will really stimulate the local economy of the proposed area and provide lots of jobs. When the facilities are operational, they will also provide employment to many persons. The increased traffic and movement of goods will also stimulate further economic activity and encourage the upgrade and maintenance of roads.

For all we know, this project may be a huge benefit to the surrounding towns.

To determine whether this will happen, however, we need the facts. But if people keep refusing to even look for them, this discussion will continue to be clouded in ignorance. Thankfully, some responsible persons here have begun to dig up the facts. God bless them!

true. couldn't have said it any better.

also we should be mindful of our judgment. its very easy to pass
judgment to other people esp we dnt know anything abt them. but that aint fair right?
a bit of patience is not that hard guys, how about lets just wait and see how it unravels.

if this does something good then kudos to the priest, otherwise the eternal
flames of hell awaits him(right?). its his kharma anyway.

That's because you have a vague question that is also based on hearsay.

    • What do you mean "business using the name of God"? Does that refer to any commercial activity that can be used to raise funds for worthy causes? Would that include even charity fundraisers where they sell souvenirs and publications? What about religious bookstores?

    • Next you put this activity in opposition to serving God. But is that accurate? Are oyu saying that you cannot engage in a money-making activity and serve God at the same time?

Clear these up. Unless you do, then it seems you are deliberately asking a vague question so that you can twist it to attack another person. That's also irresponsible. So clear up the vagaries first.
