If this happens when its your 5th year and your 5th year on your working career...then I would consider.

3 miles of walking seems unrealistic, you must be in a very remote suburb in America.
Carpooling is a norm usually practiced in the west coast.

    give yourself 3 years from.
Dont complain, everyone goes through such stepping stone, somewhat the road to success....

Here in th Philippines....Your chance to sustain your needs is so bleak.

    Well.
I just arrived here less than a week.
I already got offered all 5 Hopitals and 5 Nursing Homes on the SPOT.
As soon as I personally hand in my Resume, the Human Resource showed up in 10 minutes, interviewed on the SPOT.......Now I am CONFUSED, which one to choose....

    PARADISE INDEED.

    date: 1-28-2009
.. 3-4 days later, naabot na ka sa States as a tourist & was immediately offered a good paying job by hospitals & nursing homes? Does the US government even allow tourists to work in their country? or unsay paagi nimo ani kuya & asa ka nga state? paspas lageh kaayo?.. AFAIK man gud, ang mga nang-apply from the Philippines would still have to wait for 2 years bcoz of the retrogression. And congrats diay kuya, bag-o pa kaayo ka sa America pero naa na kay Toyota Camry. witwew!

bitaw to jenesse, no offense lang ha if paradise ang US nimo or close to paradise ang US nimo, gets namo na dre labi na kami wa kataak dha sa US but you should lay all the facts and not just boast on something that you might just make up the whole story, if you are not following your posts (first post down to the last) others are and d japon ka kalusot.

hangin naman gud kaayo mura na gane Signal #10 na sa kahangin, naka-adto lang gali sa America ka months inenglish naman dayun mga pangeta-unon pa ang words sa dictionary and using American slang pa sad...

Mura man nuon you are slapping to your face na Filipino ka and you are acting like an American like you are now. Mao bitaw ingon ane ang economy labi na ang US coz they buy stuff which they can't afford using credit card company..kinsa nadatu credit card di ang ultimo na empleyado.

If you are trying to make us (people who chose to stay here in the Philippines or the opportunity has not come pa to go abroad) jealous or get envy of what you are getting materially, tsk tsk tsk you just failed on that.

For us ( who are against to you being arrogant ) knows our principles are and we stick to it...

U.S. a paradise? Why do these old American retirees, retired in the Philippines and treat our country as paradise? Mas maayo pa d-i mga Americans naka-appreciate sa ato country as paradise ang uban dha naka-taak lang og America mura na si kinsa...

By the way, di sad kaayo ko tanto bad... wish you best in your short stay there in the US (kay tourist raman d-i ka dha), tourist then na-a pakapin na sideline para ma ka earn dollars ba...libog ko tourist unya ga work hmmmm....tsk tsk does not make sense at all...

can a tourist buy a car in the US? i wouldn't think so... but of course i might be wrong... so....

OT: I know that people with Tourist Visas can't get a driver's license... and they cannot get a Social Security number.

Diri siya nasayop, no car company would sell a car /on payments dili cash to a tourist. Even those who are authorized to work here have specific terms based on how many years their work authorization is valid. If you go to a car dealer and say that you're not a US citizen yet, no driver's license haha wa siya nalipong? samot na pakuhaon ka ug camry? Mangayo kana sila ug work authorization card noh! Before I got my permanent resident card I tried getting a car, then hapit na mo expire akong work authorization card kay hapit na ma release akong green card. I decided to just wait for my permanent resident card nalang. Lifong man!

    naa pakoy nakit-an.

I am already driving my CAMRY in less than a month?
so he came to the US on tourist visa, got his Camry in less than a month, and he's already driving it!!
in other words, he got his driver's license in LESS THAN TWO DAYS. lol

as far as i remember, i had to wait MONTHS before i got my driver's license, since i had to take the road test, and they had to mail my driver's license to me, and that took two months wait.

he can argue that he is using his Philippine license (a newcomer can use a foreign license to drive in the US), but then again, how did he get his insurance? you can't get a car insurance without a valid US driver's license, and you can't buy a car without a car insurance... so it's a cycle. again, how did he get his CAMRY? i seriously wanna know.

sakpan na gyud. kung sa korte pa, GUILTY without reasonable doubt.
