If those businesses(carnivals) have their social responsibilities towards their customers, how much more the legitimate media people?

Lisod na kaayo kung ang medium nga mao untay atong kasaligan para sa news, entertainment and in educating our people mao nay magpasi-ugda ug kadaot og immorality, unsa naman lang unyay atong mapaabot gikan sa atong mga anak.
lol, lahia ra pud nimog sample bai. Syempre naay sala ang carnival because its their equipment that was used. Naa pud sila sakop sa boundary sa resposibilities sa carnival kay naa pa man sila sulod sa carnival. Same goes, if mo tung2 ka sa akong yuta nga walay pananghid, unya pusilon tika kay pwede kang trespassing. Do not compare it to the scenario sa Radio Station kay mura kag nag kompara og tubig og butong...

Naa tay gitawag og scene of the crime, nganu man sa panghitabo nga nag kita silang duha ni gamit silag radio equipment? unsa man ang gi tuok sa babaye tension wire sa Radio Station? You are surely comparing something which is unrelated. That is beyond the boundaries of the Radio station... That is the responsibility of the person or the parties involved. Surely, you get my point... but I also respect yours. its just funny using a carnival ride in this example...

I know right before i wrote my reply that my comparison is way off. It was my rely to this...

It is beyond the radio station's concern kung unsa man nahitabo nilang duha afterwards kay wala sila mag monitor sa ilang mga callers... ang pag monitor sa ilang anak trabaho na sa ilang PARENTS/GUARDIANS og dili trabaho sa radio stations.
My above-mentioned example was just to highlight your statement of how easy (diay) for both entities to escape and wash their hands of their responsibilities to their customers, listeners for radios in this matter if something bad happens.

I think the radio station's responsibility doesn't only extend to their vicinity simply because they're in the airwaves. That's why i'm emphasizing the words social responsibility. How could that be that it is already beyond their concern whatever happens to the dating couple nga sila man nagpasi-ugda? They're the organizers. And then sa ilang pagpasi-ugda wala man lang gali sila nagbuhat ug mga preventive measures to protect their blind dates.

If you go over my previous posts, i didn't talk of the recent rape incident (Hi Pangga related) and blame the crime on the radio station/DJs. Ang unod jud sa akong mga posts are how these radio stations'/DJs' program styles have instill immorality and how irresponsible they are (as media practitioners) to the society/listeners. They don't even give a damn determining if their callers are minors!

I still support the banning of program styles such as airing of cellphone numbers in exchange of a textmate, wanted textmate. Unsa man sad gud maayo nakoha gikan aning mga programaha. I maybe so idealistic but it's better than sorry.

    PS. For the rape incident:
Makakasala - walay lain si "Michael"

Ang victim - nasayop lang jud cya sa pagsalig sa criminal ug nasayop sa pagtuo kung unsay Way para makakita ug pangga. Dili ko mutuo nga siyay sad-an ato ky wala cyay dautang intention.

Ang Radio Station/Programs/DJs - they don't have to be and can't be indicted of the crime but reprimanding them from their negligence and irresponsible broadcasting is a good way of teaching them and us a lesson.

nope, I disagree with you on that. They asked their callers for the age and location. Do you even listen to the radio program? but even if they do ask the age and location, the callers can just easily bypass it by giving false informations. Is that the radio station's fault again?

I think the radio station's responsibility doesn't only extend to their vicinity simply because they're in the airwaves. That's why i'm emphasizing the words social responsibility. well, to put it into simplier terms, no they don't have to be resposible for each and everyone who joined/engaged in the radio program. Enter at your own risk as they call it. With all due respect to the victim, she should've been the one responsible. SELF RESPONSIBILITY is the key... do not be fascinated with the face, after all its just a cover.

I grew up with this kind of social interactions, from the 80's cross-liners, to the 90's mIRC chatrooms went to the comforts of your TV screens and radio programs and then came TEXTing and community chatrooms. There's really nothing wrong with it, Social Interaction is vital to ones existence. But along with it, is the reponsibility to oneself. Trust no one but yourself, and don't EB alone.
