the best thing these radio stations could have done is to educate their listeners, dili ky kanang non-sense nga mga butang/programs. Ga-usik2x lang na sa kwarta... text2x then magka-uyab? whew, just for the fun of it. totally not acceptable.

unfortunately programs like these generate traffic for the radio stations. Sa ka high tek sa panahon karon kinsa pa may maminaw og radio? Its a marketing strategy, It's still the parties involved who should be aware of what they are doing. Unfotunately, she paid the price.

i don't think there is something wrong with the format of that program.

i honestly think there is wrong with the format and style of the program. right from the very first day i heard of it. there's just a lot of flaws that's why i'm so in favor of banning it. Look, if there's nothing wrong with it, why are there actions in banning it and why are the radio stations/DJs themselves agreed to these actions? kung kahibaw pa sila nga tarong ug tul-id ilang tumong sa ilang programa, i think mu-protest jd sila and won't give in to the idea of banning their beloved program right away.

Kung si Papa Joe gali, dugay nang nakahibaw sa bati nga epekto anang pangayo-pangayo ug textmate ug pag-broadcast anang mga cell numbers long before the incident happened, unsa pa kaha ang mga radio stations/DJs involved ani noh. Kapila na kaha na sila gitawagan ug mga concerned listeners.

PS. I'm not a Kapuso nor a RT listener. Naka-dungog lang ko before how Papa Joe sermons the girl caller of the probable effects of looking for a textmate and "uyab" over the radio.

The tools and mediums may be different but the clients are very much the same... kinsa pa may mo apil ana kungdi ang mga panablahay. Ana man jud tang mga pinoy... it is the listeners responsibility to engage to someone they don't know exposing themselves to whatever circumstances that may arise during the encounter/meeting.

I agree with you it's the girl's responsibility or anybody joining the program to take care of themselves and think wisely but that doesn't take away the stations/DJ's reponsibility over the public and their listeners. Grabe kaayo sila nakagamit sa ilang listeners and grabe kaayo sila nakasugnod sa immorality sa atong society karon.

Daghan means, bro but dili unta mag-una2x ang mga radio stations ani. Again, i'd like to point out nga naa sila responsibility sa ilang listeners. Naa na silay gisunod nga Ethics nga taas kysa ubang mediums nga imo gi-ingon. Ang nahitabo karon, ila nana gi-neglect ang ethics.

Obviously, dili na pod to mabuhi ang girl bisan pa ug kapilaon na ug ban but you can save more lives pa and decrease/prevent these text2x related crimes from happening. Just imagine pila ang maluwas from simple pasaload scams to cellphone snatching to holdups to unwanted pregnancies, worst rape to murder.

Cguro naay na breach ang radio station sa gitawag natog ethical behaviour pero it's not enough to sanction it for a crime beyond the boundaries of the radio station's program. Although nag promote sila og airing sa prepaid numbers sa radio stations pero kung ikaw usa lang ka tigpaminaw og di mag apil2 sa bisan unsa pa man na ilang gi programa dili man cguro ka ma among diba? Mura ra nig "...AT YOUR OWN RISK"

It is the right of the radio station nga mo buhat og mga programa nga maka lingaw kay broadcast o entertainment medium mani sila. Wala man cguro sila nag promote og human trafficking.

Naay sala ang radio station in a way nga sila moy nag buhat sa maong programa nga nag hatag og dalan sa duha nga magkita. Pero dili nila sala nga naay nahitabo after ato nga programa. It is beyond the radio station's concern kung unsa man nahitabo nilang duha afterwards kay wala sila mag monitor sa ilang mga callers... ang pag monitor sa ilang anak trabaho na sa ilang PARENTS/GUARDIANS og dili trabaho sa radio stations.

if that's your point, then let's take for example kanang mga carnival during fiestas. they're also a medium of entertainment. Kung madiskaril na ilang roller coasters because of negligence, will they be also be vindicated because we can always say "sala ug responsibilidad na sa individual kung musakay pa cya or dili" and ang sa pagmonitor sa biktima ky trabaho nana sa ilang parents/guardians?

If those businesses(carnivals) have their social responsibilities towards their customers, how much more the legitimate media people?
