comrade i think you were traumatized by the media you were exposed to... comrade i believe there are always sacrifices to pay in building a new world...

even during the time of capitalism's rise, the feudal people and the whole feudal system was attacked viciously... the french revolution, england's enclosure movement are grim examples of the past... there were lots of casualty during the transition from feudalism towards capitalism and a lot of rights were violated.

im not saying that in the transition towards socialism, we should do the same, NO!
History and dialectics dictates that we should avoid the mistakes of the past... an we should rather build a more egalitarian society for the next generations to come. Being afraid of the sacrifices that we may encounter may somehow hinder us in achieving our goals...

we must be strong and selfless in the challenges ahead... this is our obligation, our birth right, and our contribution for the betterment of tomorrow...

    long live to you comrade!

short sighted kaayu mo oi, and i cnt blame you for that.. in situations like this, i believe that people like me should fight more intensely the onslaught of capitalism... because its destroying the minds of people.. it makes you numb... sometimes its even difficult for people affected by this disease to think of a brighter tomorrow, and would rather find bliss in enduring the pains of the current system...

speaking of financial crisis and fall of capitalism... umm.. natural sa usa capitalist system ang boom and bust... kadgahan na financial crisis... the great depression, asian financial crisis.... but still the system exist...

    free market... thats capitalism...
maypaka ni smile... salamat sa pag suggest sa book, dnt worry il try to read it...

hmmm... how should i put this... well personally i dont believe that communism is impossible because when the USSR, CHINA, and other socialist tried to experiment on it, they were not the majority.... Communism can be achieved if the majority of the earths population will copperate in doing so... and of course medyo lisud na cya labi na if we have forgotten to dream about "LIBERTY, EQUALITY, and Fraternity."

furthermore, i believe the failure of the USSR was due to individual lapses and not by the weakness of the communist idea itself... ^_^

of course this is my opinion... but i do hope that everyone will at least try to dream of a future that is better than ours today... utopia is possible if evry1 will cooperate in building it...

a thousand years ago, people believe that the earth was the center of the universe, but thanks to some individuals who went against the teachings of the church and adhered to science... we now know that the earth and our solar syatem for that matter is not the center of the universe...

we should reflect on this... ^_^ peace

comarade there is a good reason why socialism and communism is not obsolete... what we are experiencing now in the global financial scene is proof enough that we haven't experimented enough on the ideas of communism and socialism... what happened in the cold war, and of the USSR was simply not the perfect socialism and communism. now that the current system is falling apart, i think its time to rethink and experiment and retry socialism and communism... oeace dude way dumot.

i have to agree with KaRoger on this one. Capitalism in a way has really dumbed down society and has also numb people of the horrors of society (myself included hehe), since people are starting to believe that this is "the way it is".

KaRoger, if you are really interested in a better tomorrow.
I recommend you watch zeitgeist addendum or the venus project.

the answer lies in technology. and there's no such thing as utopia, there are no final frontiers because everything is emergent.

didn't einstein say that "Problems cannot be solved at the same level of consciousness that created them."

hehehe thank you for agreeing on some of my points i appreciate that... but allow me to pleasure myself on the possibility of utopia on earth... try john lennon's "imagine" i love the somg.. although its very melancholic in tune...heheheh

yes technology is very important i also agree with that... im watching the video right now. ^_^

karoger because i love Coke so much and eat too many jollibee burgers, id rather see capitalism at its finest...

correct me if im wrong this how i understand communism at its simplest explanation and example: lets say there are 10 people in a community.. the 10 people work in a farm.... and come harvest time they will bring their products at center of the community and divide equally among themselves... now taking in consideration that all person are not the same in their capabilities and intelligence and endurance.. and some person are also lazy... so they will have different output.. some have betters crops...some have more crops and some have less... so they brought they products at center of the community and receive equal share regardless if there worked harder compare to the rest or they brought better crops... even if you worked harder you will receive the same with the one who did not really put his best on farming...

    is that fair?

in your example of course its not fair... pessimistic kaayu oi.. imo ko i trap noh? hahahaha

well ang imong set of farmers kay wala pa man na istoryaan about communism and socialism, so mao to ila gibuhat.

remember? i said a while ago that we should expirement socialism and communism? what i meant was, we should go down to the grassroots level.. education for all... and basic training... but of course your scenario is still possible... but Marx also said that "Each according to his cpability, and each according to his need" I wouldn't say "super technical equal" i would prefer a more politically correct term "Proper Redistribution".

Ako pud i love ice cream d ayu ko nahan jollibee i prefer home made foods.

now if you wanna talk about fairness.

    in our current system
    - 5% of the population own 95% of the wealth.
    - and those who own the most get to make the rules.
    - the more money you got, the more money you make.
    - the less money you got, the less you can get.
    - the poorer you are, the worst your education will be and the worst your job will be.
