Unfortunately, Taril (the one who cooked the DXHL3 Final) is nowhere to be found @ Modaco. I think he was complaining about his ROM being published and somebody claiming it as his own, last week. Wala kaayo maklaro kung kinsa ang ni nangangkon sa iya ROM, mao na disappointed si Taril, nya iya gi delete iya thread sa modaco, hasta iyang mga previous well-cooked ROMs and vanished without a trace. Including the DXHL3 and the recent DXAI2 nga iya gihimo. Tanan iya ROMs ako na gi suwayan, and find it better than any other ROMs (custom ROMs) sa modaco. It's fast, stable and without stripping out the Original Samsung Omnia Programs, thus maintaining the stock Omnia gyud.

Sakto ka Bro rgnoval... dugay gyud ma drain iya batt sa HL3 ni Taril, compared sa uban ROMs, includng the official DXHK3 sa Samsung. Naa man gibutang si Taril ana nga power manager (something... limot ko unsa name ato). Basta been using the HL3 for a week, and i was very satisfied with it, till i flashed to his DXIA2. It contains the latest updates sa camera daw and some drivers. But it doesnt have the power/battery manager like the HL3, mao pd naka disadvantage. So far, ok ra man for a few days nako gamit. Pero, after using it, balik dayon ko sa HL3 coz of the obvious reason.

On the other hand, sa Cooked M2D ROM builds nga ako na try are: PaSSoa's M2D04 (soon to be released daw, M2D05), Khuanchai of PDAmobiz.com nga Full International DXIA2 base nga ROM, and Phamquang of PDAViet.net V14M and V15M ROMs (recent daw nga buggy pa is the ROM WM6.5 (Test) CHO i900, nga ported XIP and SYS from WinMo 6.5). Tanan ako na suwayan, pero ang pinakadaan is kang PaSSoa, which is HK1 Base nga ROM. Meaning daghan pa kaau bugs. Like ang "All Programs" nga dili mo direct sa folderview.exe or sa M2D App Launcher. Kinahanglan pa nimo itweak. Pero, as ive tried every M2D ROMs, ive decided to stick with the REAL OMNIA UI gyud. Nothing beats the original UI, di ba? Using M2D man gud, its more like an HTCish phone, a trying-hard HTC device mogawas ang Omnia ana. But then again, nara man gyud sa taste sa uban. Lain2x man gyud ta. IMHO ra na ako ha? No offense sa uban.

And oh, btw, guys, next month na irelease ang WinMo 6.5 sa World Congress 2009 sa Barcelona. I hope our friends from Modaco can port it to our Omnia. Kay na port na baya sa XDADev sa HTC BA (Blue Angel) and WinMo 6.5. Or if we, Omnia owners will be fortunate enough to have it from Samsung itself, then mas maayo. Let's just keep our fingers crossed nalang ani. For the meantime, im waiting for the newest release sa ROM, may it be official or custom ones. Cheers to all!

Sayang kaayu nga nikalit ug hawa si taril. I was lucky enough to download the DXIA2 release. I really like his roms coz dugay jud mudrain ang batt, esp ako nga heavy kaayu ang use sa stereo bluetooth. Even if wala pa naitegrate ni taril ang powermizer sa IA2, payts jud ang batt life.

@nosf3ratu: looking forward to wm6.5, but i read nga dili kaayu major ang changes. but, hopefully they'd still be able to port it to our omnias. usa ra jud cguro ang akong ganahan mahitabo sa wm... w/c is increase in color support, coz our tft screens have 256k support, but only show 65k effective due to wm limitation.

@rgnoval: i'm using the manila2d for my interface, but still keeping the samsung widgets in case nahan mag-ilis2x. hehehe. i haven't tried the mobile shell and wad... coz kailangan pa man paliton. lolz.

@d_moon_u: check this site out. careful lang sa pagupdate - instructions and patience are ur best friends

btw, guys, unsa inyu gamit nga gps software? the best i found so far is garmin with philippine map. mao ra akng nakit-an nga naay tarong nga map sa cebu and other places in the phils.

I agree with you bro, coz its QVGA Resolution ra, unlike the iPhone and the HTC Touch HD. Also, about the WinMo 6.5, to be released this Feb 2009... i think has it has some neat improvements. Ive read about it here: The Mobile Spoon: Windows Mobile 6.5 is here!. It has screenshots too. It's not much of an improvement though... gamay ra na usab. Pero at least we get a taste of a new UI sa winmo 6.5 before WinMo 7 comes out. Oh well, I guess well have to wait for WinMo7 then. But i think on other mobile phone devices na, not with our Omnia.

Im not using GPS software on my omnia bro, coz im not much of an outdoor person. But for me, reading all of reviews of GPS softwares, Garmin Mobile XT is the only software nga naa decent Cebu/Ph map.

mga bro.. kinsa ninyo kasuway na gamit sa inyo Omnia para connect sa net using USB/Internet sharing?

makaconnect man ko kung sa omnia lang.. pero di kaconnect ako laptop lagi..

connected man ang status sa networking adapter for Internet sharing.. morag ika 3rd nga network connection.
maka.ping/tracert sa Yahoo! ug Google pero di ko kaconnect.. ahak.. unsa kulang ani?
allowed pud sa firewall.. makaconnect pud ang laptop ug idirect sa ethernet or wifi. ambot ngano di kaconnect using omnia hinoon with USB/internet sharing.

instead man gud ug palit ko ato prepaid smartbro nga USB @2,500, maypa kani ra omnia gamiton kay same raman ang charges @ Php10/30 mins gud.. pero ang probs wa jud nako mpaconnect.. ahak..

I have a Omnia but the prob is my videos not working because the file type is a real player and my omnia will play only windows media player, what will i do? is there any converter? Help me guyz... Thanks!
