A lot of people are fund of reading this kind of books (mystical practices). What for? After we die how this affects us? Does this benefit ourselves specially our Soul?

How about the bible? Even if a lot of scientific evidence of it's authenticity do people believe it? Do people care to read God's revelation to his Creations? Or Mankind has become futile thinking that he/she is a god in his own right? as if he owns her/his life? if so, can mankind dictate the day and hour of his death? Or the Devil is working in double time to deceive many people possible not be saved? to be his own people instead?
