Rationality has its own place in the waking world. While intuition though undervalued in our scientifically oriented culture, intuition is a valid way of knowing. Carl Jung included intuition along with sensation, thinking and feeling in his classification of ways of functioning. It is a universal human ability.![]()
I have read an excellent book by Fr. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, "The Phenomenon of Man."
In this work, Teilhard describes evolution as a process that leads to increasing complexity, culminating in the unification of consciousness. Teilhard describes humankind as evolution becoming conscious of itself.
I think Teilhard de Chardin's work is more revolutionary than Charles Darwin.
