The Euro's value is just merely creating a mirage of preceived value but not the REAL value of their currency. Honestly, I am quite skeptical with the Euro. Unlike the U.S. Dollar which always gives its true and real value. Though the US Dollar is quite weak right now, it is still the base currency for worldwide trading because America is still the biggest consumer with purchasing power, not China.

the us economy represents a big portion of the world economy.
For example, in the ny stock exchage which is still the biggest stock market in the world,
if there is a big drop in the us stockmarket, usually
the rest of the worlds stock market follows.

Currently, the emerging countriest likes US goods because they are cheaper than the euro goods
    and maybe the yen.
Right now those emerging market countries are a big consumer for us goods.
caterpillar, dupunt, GE are making a big profit from the emerging markets.
US construction related firms are making a big profit in china. which is
right now in a construction boom.

Right now,The domestic market is suffering because of the financial crisis thats why the currency is low.
When they fix this problem, the dollar will go up again.

There is no way the us will fall because of the current crisis, they will recover in time.

Medical professionals working in the US are also affected in the ongoing economic crisis that the country is experiencing. Recently, Pres. Bush cuts down the budget for Medicare. The biggest insurance provider in the US. Let's face it, health care is very expensive in the US and not all citizens there can afford the costly premiums that HMOs provide. Many rely on Medicare. With this recent cut in the budget, it will greatly affect the income of practicing medical professionals there. Mogamay jud.

I don't know if my recollection is right but I think former President Clinton left the country with a huge budget surplus. I dont know how the current administration spent that surplus. Apparently, it wasnt properly managed coz if it was then US will not be in this crisis today. Di ba?

Di ko rin maintindihan why na compromise ang budget ng Medicare while the budget for the wars increased. Makes me think, what is more important pala? Saving human lives or wasting them in wars? Hahay...
