i have never heard of that you can request your own pup conifg, they come loaded depending with model# either Duncans or Dimarzio, but they only have colors to what the model offers,

these are sold only in japan, and in the US its order based in some sites like ibanezrules, i got mine from mikkigakki,

j.customs have point to point inspection on quality unlike the ones out there.

Oh ok. What particular model do you have? I'm asking this because I saw a bunch of these on eBay and I'm almost tempted to save up for one of these. I don't like signatures (well, maybe a Les Paul is an exemption). Are they worth the buy? Or maybe its just a case of all show no go. Thanks again.

its been 2 years now and i had it for a week RG8470pink, i didnt buy mine in ebay i spent 900usd total to get mine from japan and it was used, im not into signatures aswell, i think mine had ebony fretboard, but they are definitely worth the buy the feel is exceptional that is worth it

(AFAIK) The "Custom" tag applies to these:

1. Ibanez Japanese luthiers designed these for themselves
2. Some Japanese shops have their own J. Customs built for them and for them only (Shop only models)
