Default question opening ports through router

    Guys ive got a question..

how do i open a port WITHOUT having to set up a static IP address.

i have a linksys wireless N and im having slow download speeds when it comes to certain downloads since well, there is no open port connection for download. thing is when i only use my DSL ports are open to connection, but when my router steps in its different most if not all ports are blocked. any help would be appriciated

linksys router WRT 160N my dsl is connected to my router which is connected to my desktop which is having trouble downloading stuff since ports are blocked through router, How do i know? when i directly connect DSL to my computer it downloads faster.

i want to open a port WITHOUT setting up a static ip address. im asking if anyone has done such

I dont think this is possible. But there are times that I messed around with the network, no static ips in use and open ports on ips "192.168.1.10" and "192.168.1.11". Luckily, one of the computers here had a dynamic IP of "192.168.1.10". I fired up utorrent on that computer and used the open ports in my router and my utorrent was downloading smoothly as it is with no port errors. But then I guess that was just a miracle why it worked.

Magamit man gihapon ug IP address kung mag DMZ ka. Gusto sa TS nga dili na mo gamit ug static IP.
