i dont think it is... look at la salle and ateneo. =D good in academics and athletics since like before =)

DLSU and AdMU gives out the money like they are paying salaries(in some instances). And while they have stayed on top among the better schools in the Philippines, there have been questionable roster issues lately. We all know DLSU got suspended for fielding ineligible players whose high school completion was even in question(or maybe faked).

Re: AdMU. Late last year, I had a conversation with a well-placed Ateneo alumnus and mentioned it was already impossible for Jobe Nkemakolam to recover from his flailing academics. But when he was listed as the Eagles' 6th man, that was just surprising.

Being a school that gives more emphasis to academics is not an excuse not to give good support to the athletic programs. I'm just disappointed on how the school treats it's athletes (not only basketball). Wouldn't it be great that USC dominates both academics and sports?

I bet it wasnt as bad as 7 or 8 years ago where malipay na gyud tawon kung makadaug ug kausa or kaduha sa 1 season. and I think compared to that time, mas arang arang na lang sad biya ron I suppose.

BTW, the Warriors' giant is in town. hehehe, played some Air Hockey with him earlier.

pero in fairness sa ateneo, mas okey man ang educational system sa mga basketball players... daghan former blue eagles ang naa diploma... ang uban man gani naa pa masteral degree, like paolo bugia and magnum membrere

i really dunno with DLSU... daghan baya questionnable sa mga former green archers whether naa ba ni sila diploma... isa ra man akong nahibal-an nga naa diploma and that is renren ritualo...

if you're from DLSU, peace out sis... mao pod ni akong nakita nga observation...
