If the Gnostic Gospels are indeed sources of truth other than the Bible, how come the early Christians, even the Church Fathers did not accept them as authoritative and at par with the rest of the Books of the Bible?
...the Apostle Paul has been combating the early sprouts of Gnosticism (not yet full-blown) which led to his writing to the church in Colosse (Paul's letter to the Colossians) and so was the Apostle John who outlived the rest of the 12 comrades (read John's letters).
If one do a careful, comparative study of the gnostic-so-called-gospels with the rest of the 4 Gospels, one can see that the gnostic gospels can never level up (nor can do so) to the 4 when it comes to the veracity and coherence of their account with regards to Jesus Christ of the Bible.
Tinuod jud dili maka level.. kutob ra jud sa underground movement. or matud pa sa akong amigo, secret teachings. Well, it will remain as a secrettttt...![]()
You are referring to the Pauline version of Christianity my friend. You see, the earliest Christians were the Gnostics according to history.
Then, why is it that the four gospels are contradicting each other when it comes to Jesus' life if they were of the highest level?Didn't you know that the authors of the gospels were not really the aposles of Christ as what the Bible Scholars had proclaimed?
