You have no personal knowledge of the security guard's beliefs. People go to war to protect their honor, that's a fact in history. The guard's honor was at stake when he was overpowered during the fistfight.
Beh, ikaw kuno beh, gamay kaayo kang tawo unya gikulata kag dakong tawo. Of course, wa jud kay mahimo kay gamay man ka unya naa kay pusil. Ano ang gagawin mo?
And from what I have seen, there is no such thing as overkill when you have the momentum. Kahinumdom mo sa fast and the furious na gi-istorya ni vin diesel about the guy who was responsible for his father's accident? One blow of the wrench could have been enough. Yet, he striked the person a hundred more times because he cant control it. That's just human nature and you cant do anything about it.
The moral of the story is: Knowing your enemy's capability is a key when you are in a battle. (from Sun Tzu). The driver should have thought of the gun first before picking up a fight, not just on the basis that he is bigger and can easily win over the midget guard. After all, kaning mga gagmay'ng tawo, mao baya'y delikado, specially kadtong naay mga inferiority complex (I'm not generalizing ha?).
