@Regnauld: In fairness, no matter how legendary this issue becomes outside the Vatican, it would not hedge the 'chance' that this issue is true.

@Gray_Fox: I myself dont acknowledge this issue's truth nor falsity - yet.
I just pointed out the idiosyncracy of your reasoning that the issue must be false because you have never heard about it. No offense, but that reasoning is downright preposterous.

tell that to the media why they did not announce this to the public. the answer is simple... there is no such thing as a female pope. how hard can that be?

hey gay_fox, alel was being nice to you. the least you could do is return the favor.

why are you so defensive? IF there ever was a female pope, so what? will that crumble your faith?

What media are you refering? The Philippine media? Well, you must have observed how partial they are to Catholicism. (One reason being they care much about how the Filipino mass (majorly RC's) view them. They certainly dont want to provoke RC's...)

And I dont expect this kind of issue will ever get known in China. Buddhists just dont really care about it. (Same goes to other non-RC dominated countries.)

You see, scandal is a scandal. Scandals have been and is seen as a 'blot' to the reputation concerned - may the scandal be true or may the scandal be false...

And always keep in mind, GrayFox, I am not saying this things to acknowledge this issues authenticity. I am simply stating the obvious fact that this is a scandalous topic. I am neutral on this. (But being neutral does not mean one have no thoughts about it. Non-theists have thoughts regarding the concept of god and religion afterall. )

duh... its not like the Philippines has the only media on this planet. some parts of the this planet except Philippines has R.C. too y'know. how about U.S. and U.K.? i have lots of relatives out there that has the same religion as I am. how come they haven't heard of it too from the media?

actually, we have the same thoughts about it. I'm an open minded person. unless there is a solid evidence on this like what i asked from Hellblazer 2.1 and flying fish, then i believe this female pope is just a character from a fairy tale of those anti-Christs.

Please reread Bro. You misunderstood my post.

I meantL A media partial to Catholicism won't dare broadcast a scandal such as this.

Nor will the media partial to other religions/beliefs broadcast this simply because they dont really care in the first place.

I hope I am making myself clearer.

Again, a scandal is a scandal, and the Philippine media - highly conscious of how RC Filipinos (majority) rate them - wont be be in such a nice position if they would broadcast such a scandalous topic like this. Its bad publicity, and its for certain that RC's wont like that.

Like it or not, the media is business.
