one club have their monthly photo contest pics printed by Mitsubishi (8r @ 40), Photoline (@ 30), Colours (no idea)

for 1st time printers... tell them that no adjustments be made for you to compare the print to the colors rendered by your monitor and make necessary adjustments on your monitor after comparison. It is better to stick to one printer for your setting to be in conjunction with your printer's (shop) output. Experiments should be made.
