I'm using TF2D ver 19b which can go landscape on certain items like home screen, album, music, weather, and app launcher... but this is the problem with TF2D, the landscape option distorts some of the items; otherwise, it is stable, fast and fits the omnia perfectly.

i also installed the spb full keyboard and it works better than the samsung keyboard both in portrait and landscape mode. only the latest version of the spb full keyboard is compatible with the omnia
I use HTC phonepad (freeware), works like a regular cell phone.

to play videos i use the tcpmp freeware player. no need to recode videos downloaded from the net. it plays avi files perfectly TCPMP v0.72RC1 freeware for Windows Mobile Pocket PC.
I use Core Player. It has more features and sound enhancement. Intuitive playback options, but not freeware.

i really recommend the spb full keyboard with the omnia. sa tanan kbs, this is the best, even better than resco closest to iphone virtual kb gyud siya

So far, been flashing the device back and forth between different versions and a custom ROM. For the omnia, make sure you have installed the modem device driver before flashing. It is included in the lastest ROM update HJ1, though.

OC increases battery usage. UC doesn't reduce battery consumption. But OC can damage your unit in the long run.

i love my omnia but sob... i cracked the lcd screen on the edge against my office table. its at samsung awaiting lcd screen replacement. for all to know, it will cost 4180.00 to replace the lcd screen excluding the digitizer.

i love the omnia because its really small and pocket friendly. its a nice phone if you don't mind the touch screen for texting, which I did. its not easy. it ended up being my secondary phone with my suncellular line. i still prefer a full keyboard for my mainline, globe.

is the omnia better than the sony? they dont belong to the same class. x1 should be compared against the touch pro. the omnia against the diamond and the iphone. in terms of software, winmo 6.1pro is fun and the software library huge. its relatively easy to use but again, a qwerty keyboard helps for text and email.

(as of now, I am looking to replace my e90 with either the x1 or the touch pro)

well what can you expect, it won't come cheap.. it's the LCD for crying out loud.. for a big LCD that price is considered cheap IMO.. for my p990i before it was like double that price, but yeah SE's got some greed also..
