It seems microsoft has tailored this MS Vista with the emmerging 64 bit systems. We are going high speed to the future. 32 bit seems to get slower and slower each day due to high demand of performance and data processing.

It's the same as the network, before, everyone is happy with a coax link. Now, even the 10/100Mbps is sometimes not sufficient. Network is now looking into 10Gbps.

So fasten your seatbelts everyone. All this shall be in our homes and offices soon.

I'm testing the Windows "Longhorn" Professional Edition Beta 1. It says in the desktop that it's Windows Vista (TM) Beta 1. Evaluation copy Build 5112.

The unit i'm testing is a HP centrino notebook (yes, with 32-bit Pentium-M CPU) designed for WinXP. my first installation of Vista failed though. didn't know what caused the error but after restarting it TWICE, the installation proceeded smoothly. Just have a problem with the driver of the built-in SD card reader. No driver for Vista. The performance is not that really bad on a 32bit machine... though you can really see that it's slower than XP. :P make sure you have at least 512MB, P4 2.8GHz and a 7.2krpm drive if you can't get 64bit machines to run Vista. . :P

There's the x64 Edition but i can't test it since i don't have a 64bit machine i can play with. :P

yeah. i agree with cebutech. I've played with the eval version of longhorn before. The very noticeable change are the environment and the user interface. It's far better that XP but then again, its more resource hungry that XP.
