i agree with u.. nice thread.. i have been there.. i think they based pricey hotels in makati man.. its true na pricey at some places.. where i stayed in kay sa SOMERSET SALCEDO MAKATI.. its about 8thOusand per one night stay.. but u can have options!

mahal man gyud sa manila bisan unsaon...but maglibog lang pud ko sa mga tag manila nga mibalhin ug puyo sa Cebu,...mag sige ug ingon nga mhal n bati sa cebu but still na-a pa sila diri...y not transfer back to manila...

this generalization is rather a false statement. I've moved to Cebu from Manila around 10 years ago and have settled and invested heavily here. obviously, my family and i have grown to love cebu and while we go to manila once in a while, i could not stay there for more than a week if not for business purposes.

how would you feel if someone said "bakit ang daming cebuano na nagrereklamong pangit, madumi at mahal sa manila pero andito pa rin sila, ba't di sila bumalik sa cebu?"

lived in ncr for more than a year. hate the taxis. love the choices. missed the quezon city memorial circle, market market sa lung center every sundays and #59 mapagkawanggawa at teacher's vill in qc.

i stayed in manila for a year and yeah, there is a difference in food prices. it may not be much but since you have to eat everyday, the added expense adds up jud.

oh and the taxis might cost the same, pero pilian kaayo ang drivers. grrr.
