****** Win2k Server
NIC1 - IP given from your ISP
Gateway - IP next-hop to him
Subnetmask - Assigned from ISP
DNS1/DNS2 - Given from ISP
NIC2 - IP is 192.168.0.1
Gateway - NONE
Subnetmask - 255.255.255.0 (Class C)
DNS1/DNS2 - MUST BE THE SAME AS DNS OF NIC1
****** Workstations
IP address must be 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.254
Gateway = 192.168.0.1
Netmask = 255.255.255.0
DNS1/DNS2 = MUST BE THE SAME AS NIC1 OF THE SERVER
NOTE: You can also direct your DSL cable to the NIC1 of your server and use the
switch on the NIC2 of your server so that the workstations can connect.
You now can enable the ICS of your server. Or call me for assistance
2546644 or to me cell 09155416491. Remember to ICS your NIC1 not
NIC2. Hope this will help.
is this what you mean above?Originally Posted by nutjugger

Sygate Firewall is installed in WIN2k (Gateway Server).. I disabled it inorder for other PCs to gain access to the INTERNET..
Unsaon man nako nga E-enable ang firewall ug maka access gihapon ang workstations?
naa na sya advance config bai, na pwedi nimo add ang ip range 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254. nakalimot lang ko sa exact na option..
define "trusted network" to contain the ip or ip-range of hosts in your private LAN.
there are different restrictions sa "public network" and "trusted network"..
not sure lang how to do this sa sygate..
@nutjugger: Bai unsa man nga firewall imong gi mean? firewall nga embeded sa XP or firewall sa imong Sygate?[br]Date Posted: November 19, 2005, 08:37:41 AM_________________________________________________A y sorry, 2k man diay imo server no. Abi nakog XP kalimot ko daÂ*
HERE: Sygate firewall has a NAT in it, right? So you can NAT the connection from your Sygate software rather than ICS of windows. In this way you can enable the firewall option of sygate and enable the workstation also to connect to the internet throught Sygate NAT (Network Address Translation). If you have any difficulties regarding NAT of Sygate you can refer to its HELP file and find the keyword "NAT".
Ok ako na E try inyong mga gipangsulti nako.. Thanks kaau sa inyong replies..![]()
