    Nakasuway nako ani nga problem before. Fifty workstation ang kailangan i.control para i.block ang access sa YM and other social networking sites.

    What I did, installed a Proxy + Firewall apps, sa firewall application ako lng gi.log tanan gi.open nga sites sa tanan workstations then after 2-3 days, akong gi.review ang logs, then add filter to the firewall for the lists of sites nga i.block, included na ang YM and mga porn sites and anything nga walay labot sa office work BLOCK jud tanan.

    Settings:
    - All workstations uses static IP
    - All workstations points to Proxy Server to access Internet
    - Proxy Server ---> Firewall (filters the sites and services) ----> Internet

    Softwares used:
    * Proxy - by analogx.com
    * Agnitum Outpost Pro Firewall + HTTP Logger & BlockPost plug-ins

    lisud mani cya oist... maka lusot ghapon tungod sa proxy...

    there are lots of web based messengers and there are thousands of proxies available on the net..

    unless walay alam sa proxy.. dli jud maka lusot.

    the best thing nalang is walay internet access.. bsan pa unsaon ug block .. daghan kaayo "ways" na maka lusot..

    assuming dili kaayu technical ang mga users.. simply blocking the ports that yahoo is using will work.

    That can be easily covered with Agnitum Outpost, that's what BlockPost + HTTPLog plug-ins are there for.

    HTTPLog to log all the sites visited by any workstation

    BlockPost - to create an untrusted zone, and restrict access to all workstation. You can also import a list of sites through text files. So you can generate a list of Proxy servers online and import it to Blockpost, then wala naka problem sa Proxy and web based messengers included.

    if you would install this to all workstation, this would be an inconvenience because you have to setup/update/maintain them individually. What if, you have more than 50 workstations?

    In my original setup, workstations uses static IP and points to the SERVER proxy address. So workstations can't use proxy servers online, because they can't access the Internet if they wont use the Server proxy address that serves as there gateway to access online resources.
