access 2003 and vb6

guys,

first things first, im a computer engineering graduate, so i dont know much about programming databases.. i know how to program, just know idea how to deal with databases..

i've got a question.. im sure this'll be easy for you to answer..

i want to connect my vb6 application to a local database in access 2003.. how do i do that?
ang basic elements for database programming kay create, update, retrieve and delete, right?

example, i just want to add firstname, lastname and address to my DB..

i know this sounds easy for some of you, but not for me. any info is appreciated. thanks a lot

bai search suway about ADO , or DAO ... i donno kong maka connect ba siya access 2003 mora kahinanglan paman tingali convert to access 98... kai karaan naman ang vb but im not sure ....

yeah, i read somewhere nga i-convert to access97 ang db.. thanks for the replies guys.. anymore info would help

OT: naa nay university(collge,etc.,any school) na ni.tuckle og VB.NET coz mostly vb6 paman diba??

u can use ODBC to connect to our access tables..... or u can use a connection string in your VB app... (ADO)

i don't think you'll need to convert the database to access97.
you only need the right ADO codes and the right database engine version (Jet4.0).
