it is clearly detrimental to our local economy since this will infer fear preemptively on foreign investors or tourist contemplating at coming over here.. it is an indirect indication that our leaders and regular law enforcement has failed..

but what do we expect, when as for the interim alleged vigilante killings has reached its 100 mark, and not a single culprit has been brought to courts and be filed with what is due to him.. and how are you gonna controvert to such branding when even at the backs of our mind we are tolerating such acts, it may be due to the end that it yields, but still.. murder is murder.. it will never eliminate criminals no matter how sweepingly and frequently they are carried out because murder is crime itself..

'presumably' they are doing something, that is taking part to the killings..

perhaps that's one miscalculation that our leaders (i presume they are behind this, considering their pronouncements, and indirect encouragement of vigilante killings) have failed to consider.. perhaps, they probably have thought only that such move would 'exclusively' scare away notorious criminals..

seems by the contents of the recent posts of this thread that there are many who condone vigilante murders... I cannot honestly say I'm for it since I'm kind of idealistic... but perhaps, it might be a necessary evil brought upon by our bloody history and warrior culture...

you know japan had such a warrior culture but then kenjitsu had transformed to the eclectic and zen-inspired kendo-- violence transceding into virtue...

anyway, to more practical matters, to stop vigilante and fraternity killings, you have to stop people becoming into criminals, to stop being criminals people should not give in to their animal instincts easily, in order to do that is to provide good moral and value education and opportunities to enjoy their rights as citizens... but apparently its easier written in this post than done

OT: my Post focus on the Vigilante killings that we can consider a "murde case".

i hate to say this but this is what i honestly feel...
"i appreciate the efforts done by the vigilantes here in Cebu,
because they end the lyf of those people which most of us, the community and them believe as useless..." BUT. but. BUT...
what they are doing is not right or not the correct solution,
they must not put the JUSTICE into there own hands.

the criminals they killed are still humans no matter how Bad they have become. i strongly believe that Some of those criminals they've killed or they planned to kill did not became a criminals by there own choice.
if we can only try to ask a question to those criminals who suffered the punishment of imprisonment
"if you will be set free from prison and given a decent job outside, would you still like to become a criminal?"
im sure they'll answer "NO".
my point is, if only we can give chance to those people who are directly or indirectly asking for it and help..WHY NOT?..
in this way, we can help our city and society to recover from the bad fame we have now but also we are helping a person to live a better life.

yeah.. by killing them.. the people knows that the police are the one killing the criminals.. thats why they cant solve it..
