from a literature i read(could'nt remember the title)
plot was: Little children are by essence innocent, and if they die before growing up, they automatically go to heaven.

one fanatic/whatever you call it tries to kill/murder kids as much as possible for the very reasoning of sending them to heaven. coz this *fanatic realized that one damnation(him/her self) is worth X the number of murdered children sent to heaven. NOBLE? LUNACY? still effin serial killer.

do you know david berkowitz? son of sam? a born again christian as claimed. what do you think went wrong?

interesting find from an FBI profiler:
The FBI gave the standard profile of a serial killer, He is a person with few friends. He became much more religious just before he started murdering people. After reading all the available studies I could find and studying all the articles in the newspapers for over 30 years, I find what is most outstanding is Serial killers were sexually inhibited by their strong religious upbringing.

Nearly all serial killers are very devout men who were raised by members of Pentecostal sects, fundamentalist Catholics or were 'hard-shell' Baptists and Methodists."

Studies after study show serial killers are a product of this environment, not genetics.

...if you apply it through a multi-factorial approach, i could say genetics is a risk factor too.

TRUE, we have been killing each other since the dawn of the first primates. it's in our nature.hahaha
...as for RELIGION it pretty makes one darn good KILLING tool. a drawback/sideffect/ of such.(provided that it is and was of noble cause/purpose)
nice one... but, its very hard to believe... because if you are a God fearing man, you wouldnt do it... simple as that... because, we christians knows hell... it is written in the bible... I myself dont want to go there... do you?

It was pointed out that the profile of serial killers include being: "sexually inhibited by their strong religious upbringing", being "very devout men who were raised by members of Pentecostal sects, fundamentalist Catholics or were 'hard-shell' Baptists and Methodists." but NOT the other way around.

Who said that those with strong religious upbringing, very devout fundamentalist Catholics are profiled as serial killers? No-one made that statement... I would guess that knowing this, it would be much more easier for you to believe in that statement.

Personally, I see truth in that study...I find it not hard to believe. You should really know the nature a person's extreme compulsion to do something extreme to understand why this statement makes sense.
