Personally, I have no opposition whatsoever to charter change. In as much as there are provisions in the constitution that need amendment and in so far as the parliamentary form of government could really help us in our situation. Nonetheless, it's a bit late for me since our lawmakers will be busy in no time campaigning for them to win their respective seats next election.

As to the issue of term extension, we should not be afraid. For one, the palace has continuously asserted that the president will not run again. Two, it is prohibited in the Constitution that even Erap could not run again. Third, assuming without granting that there is a proposition for a longer term on public officials, I suppose the effectivity of such provision will be after the expiration of the terms of the incumbent officials.

I don't think you have fully grasp the concept of charter change. What you probably got is an iota of knowledge from the canned-good informations delivered by the usual boo-boys. By your use of words like "charter change is implemented" underlines your lack of knowledge on the subject at hand.

There are already lots of threads here that have been discussing this very same topic. I recommend you do read them to broaden your base.

Dog, you cannot just base your reasons on mere speculations and innuendos and media blitzes coz there's just enough lies outthere to conceal the truth and the same can be said in reverse.
