Some people here says useless or unnecessary so in my opinion just do a self study instead pareho rana ni eskwela kag short term course for technician sa tesda or manpower.

Mostly call centers here in cebu/manila sa technical support (e.g. Dell, HP, IBM etc.) at least naakay certification. Also patambok sa resume ang naka nindot it never expires ang certification CompTIA A+.

Actually you guys need to know that if you have a CompTIA A+ certification, it is equivalent to 9 months of actual experience. In my own opinion, if you have a Bachelor's that's really sufficient enough. Instead of aiming for the most entry-level certification, go for Microsoft Certification or other certifications instead. I tell you, I graduated from AMA '99 BSCompSci, never worked IT field. I told them I have a degree in Computer Science, I got hired for a technician job here in the US.
