i checked some reviews regarding the movie and it was suggested to better watch the original "rec"

●REC is the Spanish movie where Quarantine was based/copied from. Title comes from what you see in a camcorder viewfinder when you turn on recording mode (red flashing "REC" with small red dot). It's basically done in the pseudo-documentary style of "The Blair Witch Project". IHMO, REC is better simply because when people watched it, they didn't know what the movie was all about, and thus the visual impact was a lot better compared to Quarantine. For some reason, in Quarantine, you just know you'll end up seeing something frightening when the camera pans across the dark interiors--sa REC kay murag ordinary cam pan shots lang, pero hadlok ang effect.

ahm.. when there is hype its going to be gross. but unfortunately, REC is better.
