You shouldn't be shooting at domesticated animals. That's clearly shown in the unit's instruction pamphlet. Tapos karon mag-tingala pa mo nganong lisod kaayo i-register ang units nato and irecognize ang airsoft hobby/sport as legit and harmless--tungod sa undisciplined batasan sa ubang users, napeligro/nadaot hinoon ang image sa hobby/sport.

^^Unless tingali ug mu post ug harm sa imong private property.
Me, im looking for a cheap airsoft gun kay naa cge bisita namo nga kagiron ayu nga iro and natakdan na hinuon akong iro. But kung ako gukoron, di jud ko kaapas, even tried using the car but marunong kaayu ang karaho. Hadlok pud ko mugamit ug tinuod kay basin daghan nya reklamo. so i guess airsoft is the answer. hehe
If that dog is a stray, then catching it to prevent the spread of its disease is the responsibility of the city pound. Your lack of communication with the city pound gives you no excuse to use your AEG unit to shoot at domesticated animals. Preserve the intergrity of the sport/hobby. Do not set disagreeable examples that would tarnish its image.

the problem is by the time the city pound arrives (in my case, the security guard) the stray dog is no longer there. wahehe.
it's still responsible weapon ownership. shooting at something that is a threat on one's own private property.
the real question is: Is the airsoft for hobby/sport only?
The real issue here is one of compliance. If you may not know, a lot of airsoft enthusiasts lobbied for the amendment of the Firearms code of the Philippines, so that airsoft rifles can fall into a proper category (i.e. airgun). When the PNP finally listened and amended the rules, along with creating an IRR for the new set of rules governing airsoft units, all serious and concerned hobbyists, airsoft gun collectors and players began a campaign of vigilance and self-monitoring to ensure that airsoft rifles do not get involved in any case of injury, deliberately done or not. Because the PNP vowed that if any significant issue of injury would occur that involves airsoft, they will directly implement a "no questions asked" banning of airsoft units in the Philippines.
I know your intentions are good. However, how sure are you that while in the process of shooting at that dog, you will never accidentally hit a bystander, and said bystander lodges a complaint? Do you know that last week, there in Cebu City, neighbors reported a man who kept showing off and brandishing his real steel and airsoft rifles in their neighborhood. The man was brought into PNP custody and while he had permits for his real guns, he didn't register his airsoft units, so na-confiscate tanan, and the local Cebu PNP issued a warning to airsoft unit owners about using their rifles for purposes other than what they have been intended to be used for--gaming and private collection.
If airsoft gets banned because of some accidental occurrence that you caused, are you willing to shoulder the ire of the entire airsoft community because of your lapses? Think deeply about it.

ok boss. i got your point. i am a responsible firearm owner, have a permit to carry and an inactive gun club member. ill make sure that no complications arise if i indeed decide to get an airsoft for self defense against stray animals. for stray people, i promise not to use the airsoft...![]()
