it was with songs Patience (GNR) , Runaway Train (Soul Asylum) , Spaceman (4nonblondes), About a Girl (Nirvana) More than Words (Extreme) and I Love You (Saigon Kick) that gave way, and opened up my awareness to music and inspired me to learn how to play the guitar...

my very first song ever learned on the guitar was Cat Stevens' father and son...and the immortal pare ko by the eraserheads.

the very first album that i fell inlove with musically was Guns and Roses' appetite for destruction I and II and metallica's BLACK album..

weezer, 311, and metallica's music are my immidiate musical influences up to this very day...

(1980's) When I was in elementary I use to dance to the tune of New Wave then later I bought an Album of Guns and Roses (Apetite for destruction) which my uncle want it to be eliminated because as he told me it was for the Antichrist... I listen to Poison, Extreme, Metallica until we transferred in Cebu.(1990's) This is the place where I learn how to play guitar and make a band.

The first album i've listened to was The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night... i also recall listening to a double cassette tape soundtrack album of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band... at that time, I thought Aerosmith was the epitome of a bad rock band hahaha...they covered the song Come Together... I wonder where those records are now...

I was always into rock especially classic rock... but i never stopped myself from listening to other genres. The album that got me addicted to rock music was probably metallica's BLACK album... then i started listening to Black Sabbath, then deep purple, led zeppelin, Eric Clapton's cream of clapton, and the list go on. But its funny though.... unlike everyone else, i was supposed to listen to newer bands after metallica but instead i found myself listening to classic bands such as sabbath. hehe. my first band by the way played classic rock

In the local scene... my biggest influence would probably be the band MAYPOND( hope i got the name right)... saw them practicing once in my neighbor's house and i couldn't believe how good they were, especially their guitar players. I was like 10 years old. And i thought only the people i see on TV such as Slash and Kirk Hammet can do such a thing, hehe. These guys were my BIGGEST influence. They are probably the reason why i wanted to be what i am today. And they are still my guitar heroes...

I'm a weezer nut, always has been and always will be. Sila gud ang main inspiration nako to play guitar. Since then i always wanted to be a guitar player who could also sing, lyk rivers cuomo of weezer. Besides weezer, sauna i listen to a lot of alice in chains, guns n roses, the E-heads and kanang mga grunge bands (wel mao man uso pag teens nako). Apil pa diay firehouse and outfield, karon theme song na sa mga driver. hahaha eventually ni "evolve" akong style, and i explored other bands wit an open mind...nowadays i mainly listen to the likes of silverchair, muse, radiohead, tool, a perfect circle and most recently dredg. oh and ofcourse everyones favorite band too.....cueshe... hahaha just kiddin, real sorry can't resist it

my first was when my cousin let me hear the song unskinny bop by poison, i fell in love with the drum intro so i started to learn playing drums since then. my first rock album was appetite for destruction by gnr, then skid row, metallica's ride the lightning. i was also influeced by my cousin who was a member of the band feminine mode back during the local ground days. i also watched the monks, 40 the band, btu, etc...thats how i got myself into playing music. it all started from there.
