in a manner of speaking.. Satan is an instrument so only the worthy can enter heaven. Satan is tempting us like he always do. i mean... thats the reason why God created Satan in the first place.
that analogy doesn't say that God is amusing Himself. it simply ask that "as a musician, will you destroy your musical instrument"? and for the record, Satan was once God's most favorite angel before he revolted against Him.
So your god created Satan so only those considered worthy can enter heaven? If he did not create Satan, would there be anyone considered unworthy in the first place?
Kung naghimo man gane siyag Satan, then he indirectly created the unworthiness in people that he seems to despise a lot.
That in itself can be considered a flaw if you think about the implication of his deed.
About the analogy:
OK. let us put it this way:
Yes, the analogy did not SAY that 'God is like the musician'. But for quoting the third item in Forester's list and asking that question indirectly implied that intended equation.
Isn't that what you meant to say? Is it? Or were you just asking a question? Then if so, that post would be irrevelevant to the topic. (Nya kung pangutana man lang to, makahibulong gihapon ngano imo gi-quote ang number 3 sa list even though you say it's irrelevant to the analogy/question.)
And usa pa, even though nga let's say question ra to siya. Isn't it a question that is asked or will be answered quite 'unfairly' considering your stand as a believer? It seems as though you are expecting a response from a 'non-perfect- being (humans) that would bear relation to a 'perfect' being's (your god) decision on why 'he did not kill Satan.'

bottomline is God created Satan and us for a purpose. He created Earth, animals, natures, etc... somewhere along the road, He created humans. do you think He created us for free? think again...
like i said before, we have lots of choices in life. God gave us free will so we can do whatever we like including our own decisions in life. so if you choose to be on Satan's side, then that makes you the unworthy. you're talking about human flaws. not God's.
and about the anology:
i was refering the musician as the reader (human). if a musian can't destroy his favorite musical instrument... that applies to God. why would He destroy something that He created? i mean... how about you? have you tried creating something that you just want to destroy later? it sounds stupid doesn't it? hehe
and lastly, its not an "unfairly question". yes I am a believer. aren't you? because if you don't believe in God , then why are you debating that God has a weakness since you don't believe He exists in the first place?

-- sorry Mods...Accidental double-post.--
Yes I did. And I think it was not stupid. I created a slingshot I made to kill birds. And yes, it was my decision how to use it, and it happened I used it for bad. Bad little me. Hence, I destroyed it. Isnt it just?
Yes, I dont believe in a god. And I wasnt questioning your god's 'perfection' as if he exists. I was questioning why you think god is perfect even though your posts implies he isn't.Originally Posted by Gray_Fox

And come to think of it, this thread is quite unproductive since people make god whatever they want him to be.

hmm.. nice story. but its not applicable here. you made your slingshot then you've learned it by experience that its not nice to use your slingshot to anyone. if you're saying that Satan must be undone, then that would be a flaw to God. why? because he made a mistake by making Satan. that is why i said God don't have a flaw.
my question is.. have you tried creating something that you just want to destroy later? let me simplify it for you since you don't get the point... by saying "you just want to destroy later", it means that you already know that something will just gonna be destroyed by you later but you still want to continue building it because you will destroy it later. gets?
God knows the future. thats why he made Satan because it serves a purpose.
the mere fact that you don't believe in God, what do you know about his weaknesses? or let me rephrase it... What do you know about God anyway? still arguing something that you don't know? shesh....
this is what makes your post an off topic. we are talking about God's weaknesses. not on personal opinion to what God is.
here is my reply to that statement:
we don't make God whatever we want to be. we base what is said in the bible.
EDIT: its not a unproductive but rather useless. everyone who believes in Him says he doesn't have a weakness. to prove it, you can back read the posts. how many people simply says "He doesn't have a weakness." on this thread? oh look... there is one on this page. lol.![]()

what purpose does satan serve...aside from making this world a better place?hahamy question is.. have you tried creating something that you just want to destroy later? let me simplify it for you since you don't get the point... by saying "you just want to destroy later", it means that you already know that something will just gonna be destroyed by you later but you still want to continue building it because you will destroy it later. gets?

what about that flood thing then...
even adam and eve to JC....
this god creates things whom it later punishes to barbeque crisp and torture for being NOT perfect, and unsavory...oh, not to mention he tried flushing all the unsavory peeps away....flash forward to now, that flood either did not happen or FAILED miserably.
