    Default Pagasa

I just wondered why PAGASA is so poor in weather forecasts. Many fatalities had been claimed by storms at sea due to its incapability and lack of uncompetitiveness.

NAA PA BA TA PAG-ASA SA PAGASA?

bitaw. mao na lang pirmi ang katarungan. Kung mahilom na ang mga kasuko sa mga tawo mahilom sab ang ilang modernization plan.

As for me, dili nako mo rely solely sa PAGASA instead diri na lang ko sa :: Typhoon2000.com® :: The Philippines' First Website on Tropical Cyclones (Since 1997) nga naka link pod sa different weather agencies in the Pacific Coast. Bati man god ang system sa PAGASA kay maghulat pa man ni sila sa feedback sa ilang provincial offices before they will declare a storm warning. Also, they issued weather bulletins at every 5 hour interval kon duna nay bagyo not taking into account nga ang bagyo naglihok. Another thing is that, ang oras nga ihatag sa PAGASA when giving the position of the storm is based on the Philippine Standard Time (PST) which is 15 minutes late compared to the local time of Cebu City or 13 minutes late compared sa local time of Manila. Mao nga inig announce sa PAGASA nga ang bagyo mohapak ining lugara kinse minutos gikan ron actually naigo na ang maong lugar, so late gyod sila! So better, give the local weather station free hand in giving and announcing the weather condition basing on the local time of the place rather than nga ipadala pa sa Manila ang forecast.

Politics and Current Events is not the place to ask questions. It is a place to discuss. If you have done no research on your own to start a discussion, keep it out of Politics and Current Events.
