Davao’s traffic signal
program wins US award

Davao City’s traffic signalization program won an award in the 2008 Engineering Excellence Awards in California, USA recently.

Efren Abratique, chief executive officer of the Los Angeles-based Abratique and Associates which installed the program, told the Mirror the Traffic Signalization Project Phase I won a merit award in the competition.

Abratique said the award was presented to him on February 11, 2008 in Sacramento, California in the presence of “many competitors from all over the world.”

He said among the bases of the award is the impact of the project on the economic and social wellbeing of the people, on government support facilities, and on urbanization and world competitiveness.

From the moniker given by the writer in Action Asia Magazine, I would rather prefer the endorsement by the expat community referring to Davao as CROWN CITY OF THE PHILIPPINES.

But personally I would rather advocate that the name of the country be changed into MAHARLIKA (free people, Noble Creation).

So by my opinion, I'd be more comfortable with the term CROWN CITY OF THE MAHARLIKAN NATION or CROWN CITY OF FREE PEOPLES

Nag research ko sa Sanskrit sa Maharlika it's contrary to the lies spread by a supposed "scholar' nga ga claim it came from the word maha lingam which means "big phallus(*****)". Bakakon to.


Maharlika may most likely turn out to be from the Sanskrit words "Maha" meaning Great, Noble and "Lekha" meaning work, creation. so Maharlika actually means Great Work or Noble Creation.

Layo ra kaayo ang maha lingam sa maha lekha kung asa gi-base ang word Maharlika. Sa sinaunang panahon kung tawagon ka nga Maharlika dako na nga dungog kay free person ka pero gi-corrupt nila.

There are vile forces that intend to make this country remain corrupted and tuta sa foreign interest and psyching the unaware people to be easily manipulated and psychologically bounded thats why it's even named by its invader that would seem contemptous to any self-respecting country. But not everyone is unaware.
