BUDGET is 4k max... pwede sad cguru ko ka abot ug 4.3k..... basta what im searching for is:

8GB max dual channel memory ( DDR2-800)
1333 FSB
1x PCIe x16 slot
1x PCIe x1 slot
may or may not have IDE ports... (preferably if naa)


im having a hard time finding the right chipset... im looking towards ASUS and GIGABYTE mobos....

ABIT? bro to tell you honestly the reason why they cant compete to the quality boards maker like ASUS, INTEL, GIGABYTE etc..because they are not reliable and quality boards naa ko gipangaayo na PC mga ABIT totally flat dead board dali ma murot ang capacitors like EPOX they are not good mobo brands.

My friends from US told me ABIT is dead no longer can compete the world of motherboards.

One thing when you say best value for money, it just not for features but how it useful to you and durability. And when you say "u are paying more because of the name..." are you sure? if you would buy ASUS and INTEL boards you are not just buying their names but the QUALITY and peace of mind plus performance of mobos where there's nothing you ask for.

early bird pud diay ka bai poldo...regarding anang Asus, yes i worked my butt there for 2 years sa Taoyuan County plant sa Taiwan, PCB engineer kuno...hehehehehe...tighugas sa motherboard pcbs gud...hehehehe...btaw...i signed a non-disclosure agreement when i left the company, so my lips are sealed...this is all i can say...i will not buy Asus mobos...pero kung taga-an...modawat gud...

to the thread starter: do a search sa tipidpc, you'll be surprised what 4k can get you there. ayaw lang sad palabi arte kay naa man nindot but used lang (usually with shop warranty, nuon)

abit motherboard was a bad player before it was bought n made into Universal Abit. ila line-ups karon are nice na, starting adtong Fatality series (used by champion sa gamer, Fatal1ty). DFI also made a comeback sa ila clockable boards.
