settings were: ISO 100, F9, 1/100, Built-In Flash fired (diffused with Kleenex). still using pnoize2k4's 100mm Tokina Macro Lens on a Canon 350D.

btw, i think they are a bit under exposed...try adjusting curves/levels...
also a bit more contrast adjustment couldnt hurt also.
