I think burn-in on LCD monitor or more commonly called screen burn-in is a phenomenon where a shadow of the item displayed on the screen stays there even if the unit is already turned off, this this due to leaving a static image on the screen for quite some time. programs where develop to solve this problem called Screen Savers. This is how the screen saver got its name, From Saving your screen from a burn-in
Also it could refer to hardware burn-in meaning stress test.
Both are correct depending on the context
