This is funny--I'm against fraternities. But, I am against the abolition, simply because that's a downright totalitarian move.

What is needed is better education of the youth, on why joining such organizations is not necessary and that you can grow up to be the person you want to be without having to join such organizations.

My fear is, if they can easily abolish fraternities, they can also abolish say, an astronomical society, for fears of spreading "unGodly" ideas such as the Big Bang theory or evolution. Again, education is the key here--the more educated the youth are about organizations, the better decisions they will make about whether to join a fraternity, or join a more scientifically or socially relevant group.

Actually YES ! Mao bitaw gipatay kadtong pulis sa MACTAN BRIDGE after the court hearing because he chose to be a law enforcer guided with the principles of DOING WHAT IS RIGHT . That is only one of the hundreds if not thousands of instances in Cebu alone .

Fraternities should be regulated.. not just from the outside but from within as well. Abolishment is not the answer - they will simply rebel and continue to go on. Kay sa tinuoray lang, what's gonna stop them? Abolishment will only spark something worse - total anarchy.

Being a FRAT LEADER or a MEMBER got nothing to do with the issue . WHo said that FRATS has no flaws ? WHo said FRATS are PERFECT ? Nobody , its only you . Indeed wala kay mahimo as long as your accusations are only SPECUALTIONS and BASELESS .

The main problem with Fraternities sa Pinas is that it's no longer structured as Fraternities. Their bylaws are long disregarded. How can these groups recruit high-schoolers and out-of-school neophytes? How can initiations go on with a master initiator who can't even monitor his fellow brothers. During initiation rituals - is there a strict guideline followed? or they just go as they please while the pledgee is still alive and breathing?

These are just a couple of the things that needs to be regulated. Especially ang recruitment process kay it's more like they're raising an army instead. Ug bagsik ka, isog, nya korso mamirahay - dawat ka - bahalag kapila naka na expel sa skwelahan - kana ug ga skwela pa.

Reform must come from within.. force the bylaws upon the members and disciplinary actions should be imposed on offenders.. start acting like Fraternities for a change!!! The gang-like nature is not helping the Fraternity's image and reputation. When was the last time nga nadungog nga these Fraternities did something good for the society? Mga Public Service - wala gyuy dungog kay ang ilang headlines overshadows their good deeds (if there was any good deeds done as of late).
