Salute to the chinese astronomers! I just hope their space milk is safe to drink
China is really going forward by leaps and bounds. It's notable what they have achieved throughout the years.

ot: na human na ni wall-E guro na tanan... serious ayo mo diri...
imagine if all nations collaborate with no regard for nationalistic and ethnic pride and identities. Humanity would make huge leaps in space exploration. But i can dream can i?
Actually, there's already an effort in that direction...
The ISS stands for "International" Space Station. Granted, only those that can afford the costs are currently working together, but one day, everyone will be part of a larger, more diverse effort. Don't dream, just do your part. Heck look at me, I'm trying my best to teach you guys here about astronomy (bisan wala'y maminaw/magbasa usahay, kay mas lingaw man ang "Gagambino" kaysa Galileo) and the importance of space exploration, so I feel that I'm doing my part, and I'm not dreaming.

bitaw, mas lingaw ang gagambino ahehehe.
btw are space stations intended for humans? coz i've heard from Carl Sagan that space stations are not really practical (i have to review what he really meant). Since robots can do the space exploration for us.
I think i've heard it here in Charlie Rose's interview with Carl Sagan before he died.
YouTube - Carl Sagan's Last interview Part 1
I watched the clip and it didn't seem to show him saying that. However, speaking in behalf of Sagan, if he indeed uttered such a phrase during an interview before, perhaps it's because of the fact that he still retains the nostalgia (and perhaps even bitterness) of the unmanned missions he became involved in (he was with the Viking Lander team, and the Pioneer/Voyager missions). During the 60's it was very hard to convince the US Government to conduct unmanned probing of the solar system due to the fact that the cold war was pressuring both US and Soviet governments to "up one another" in manned spacetravel (i.e. moon missions etc.). Thus, scientists like Sagan at the time, who were really interested in knowing more about the solar system, and wanted to send probes there, had to come up with various justifications on why unmanned missions are better and more economical than manned ones.
As for myself, I truly believe that Konstanin Tsiolkovsky's message is still the clearest voice in the realization of cheap, practical, manned space travel...
