Why do People insist they are right and others are not.

the problem really is...no one knows and could say what is truth
since reality is relative to each one's perceptions
even with an open mind, as long as we see ourselves a seprate indivudual with others
differences will always be imminent...conflicts will still be there.
even the reality of peace is relative to each one's beliefs
and may be considered as illusion to others
so what's truth for me? is something that i have experienced and understood
that which no one can take away
however,not disregarding others' relative truths as well
like what St. Agustine said, our minds are just a small vessel that could only contain
a fraction of sand of the entire "beach" of knowledge..

well yes i understand. but going with your argument, even st. augustine could be right or could be wrong. it doesnt matter Right? but the question is, if there is no general/universal Truth, why are we able to discern things, why is there order, why is it that we could some predict phenomena? Why is it we could create things, if everything is in flux, change, truth relative, then why is there something that remains permanent in which we build Human Civilization from its buildings to its sciences? If Truth is relative, how is this communication even possible?

I agree, it doesn't matter whose right or wrong...

I want to believe that there's an absolute truth...i really do
however, when one zeroes in one possibility...all other possibilities will be lost
just like the blind men...one blind person holding the elephant's tusk
will insist that the elephant is like a big hard smooth bone...
we loose the possibility that it can be also a fan, a snake, a large trunk...
when in actuallity...it is all one big combination of everything...

can any mortal could even comprehend that is which absolute?
Does Jesus say that which is absolute? I hope so
as well as what Mohammad, Gandhi, Buddha, Swamis, Gurus, Maharaja Mei Ling, boddhisatvas, etc.
when we mix everything that they say and peel off dogmas, practices, traditions
there is only one message...LOVE...of oneself, of others, of God
is love absolute? I hope so...how can one say when it can never even be measured
nor can it be defined...all I know is..it is an energy form that can create
when i define it as energy, i am also taking out the possibility that it can be something else..sigh!
really, reality and truth is just one big blur.
when one has been depending on rationality all these years
it's quite depressing to know that some things are really irrational. (heavy sigh)

the physical reality...
all i know is..there is consensual reality...a reality that all people may agree upon
such are the things which are observed in the physical realm
that which is observed by the physical senses
when we go outside the atmospheric and gravitational field of earth
does this truth apply? no...we even age less outer space than here...
so lalo na siguro when we go beyond our own galaxy...beyond the next universe
our physical reality is just a speck of dusk among the immense and vastness of space
sigh again... now i wonder if even our reality matter to anybody than ourselves.

You don't need to that actually. People by their very nature will eventually end up searching for something that will negate the sad reality of their end. They choose what to believe and fashion their lives out of it.

How can you insist on something to be true when you accept it only by faith? Is not faith nothing more than the thought of hoping for something?
