if the computer boots up first than the computer, magkaproblema ang DHCP this issue is common to wireless networks.

tip: turn the modem on first then leave it 2-3 minutes pero kung dili gani malikayan just do a diagnose and repair. windows will automatically show you the best resolution which is release and renew on the ip address.

yep. a common idea why it sucks its because after your computer boots, it wont load networking immediately. ma-notice ni nimo na inig dayon nimog boot-up, disconnected "daw" ang imong cable bisag nakataod na.

di mana issue bro. the application for the network isn't a first priority that is why it doesn't load at startup within OS na. this implementation is true to other operating systems as well. i'll provide a detailed explanation here about the problem. if you answered yes to my previous question (kung nabutang nako) nga do you turn the modem off as well(?). this is what happens when you turn the computer on:

inig on nimo sa computer or bisan assume lang ta nga on sad imong modem, kung DHCP ang implementation, anha pa mag search ang windows sa ip address from a server as soon as the program is loaded then if it happens nga wala pa naka start ang modem, mao assign na siya ug ip address sa iyang kaugalingon since wala man naka provide ang mode kay nagstart pa. to confirm this, the next time you have the local access only try to check on your ip address by going to command prompt then 'ipconfig'. i'm sure imong makit-an is with this format: 169.x.x.x

this by the way is windows' networking implementation of APIPA ( Automatic Private IP Addressing) where a group of computer can still access each other without a server and even on DHCP. now windows doesn't do a retry to search for a dhcp server so you'll have to it yourself either by 'ipconfig /release' and 'ipconfig /renew' or simply diagnose and repair by right-clicking on the network and sharing center icon in the tray.

now, the best way to address this is to simply leave the modem on or turn the modem a few seconds before you turn the computer on.
