actually dili na muobos ang price once a product is discontinued..mapulihan lng siya og mas nindot & mas barato na model
what about warranty. since EOL na man ni so buy at our own risk na ni kay unsaon man pagwarranty sa intel kung ang product wala nay support. this seems bad... hhmmm...
Fixed. its codenamed "Nehalem" and its trademark is "i7".
anyways, im pretty sure ang demand sa i7 in the country when it comes out is going to be low. mostly hardcore people ra ang mo-kuha ana. And in my theory, mas mo-taas ang demand sa quad cores when i7 comes out. its because ang mga quad cores kay more likely mo-replace sa role sa celeron or impossibly, intel atom(LOLOLOL)
there's your problem. my thoughts exactly.
NO! wala na nag manufacture ug D2D ug QC? paeta plano unta ko mag assemble ug QC next year.
Pero what will happen sa mga nagmanufacture pa ug C2D ug QC nga mobos?
Saun nalang...
best news i've heard today, no longer in production - yes. still in stores at bargain the price - yes!
hopeully the price changes will take effect early the end of this year if ever.![]()
"Sometime during November it is expected Intel will release its next-generation of processors under the branding Core i7. There are only three Core i7 processors expected in 2008 and they will target upper mainstream and performance users. The Core i7 965 XE will be an Extreme Edition processor running at 3.20 GHz, featuring an 8 MB cache and will be priced at $999. The Core i7 940 will run at 2.93 GHz, feature an 8 MB cache and cost $562. The most affordable Core i7 will be the 920, with a 2.66 GHz clock-speed, an 8 MB cache and a $284 price-tag. All three processors feature four-cores, a 130 W TDP and will offer a substantial performance increase over current Core 2 processors.
Also according to the information provided by Digitimes, Intel is expected to begin discontinuing many of its Core 2, Pentium and Celeron processors by the second quarter of 2009."

"Rumor is that at the end of September a few guys will already receive samples to test .. yet are prohibited to overclock. Intel is supposedly only to allow the expensive processors to be overclocked. Processors under 400 USD will get a bus lock, prohibiting overclocking."
