Was gonna post the exact same thing, but I retracted my post because I actually doubted if anyone here would get the point of why a Senator would want to prove such a point.

OT Reply: That statement only goes to show that you haven't been around in internet message boards much. The reason I put my name after my posts (and that is my real name, btw), is because it is a substitute for a "sig" or "signature", your personal byline. In iStorya, only premium/platinum account holders are allowed to have sigs. So, out of habit, I place my name after my posts, as I've been doing in internet message boards since 1997. This way, regardless if I'm allowed a sig in a particular board or not, I have a byline.
