    its true Nvidia cards were the ones causing the failure as their failure chip rate is high and have buggy drivers and run generally hotter than ATI

    Oh well you can assemble a branded type PC easily though. Main difference between branded and unbranded are:
    1.) Power Supply used sa branded is reliable and stable, not cheap clone ones. (We now have branded PSUs available locally, google is your friend, research the parts before you buy)
    2.) Parts used are tested quality parts as well (you can do this yourself via research)
    3.) Casing is unique to the brand (Mod and you will have a one of a kind case)
    4.) Customized Aps (object dock, deep freeze for recovery disc replacements, etc..)

    You can do all of that yourself.
    building a home computer is different from building a laptop maybe this guy is going for portability

    I Hope Laptops can be DIYed. Hehe.
    I'm pretty sure DIY computers are more powerful as the laptops. Specially if you'd use quality parts.

    tnx sa pag post sa experience.....parehas na dre sa ako kauban dre ofic karon..wla papud 1 yr iya laftaf dn naguba...iya dayon gi balik sa hp which is tupad ra dre amo ofic...ingon cya gi ilisan daw og motherboard pud...ambot og naunsa nato ron...

    well for my case ok pa ang hp nga laftaf nako which is an old model na...mag 4 yrs nani tingali..hehehe....pero wla jud ni pa nadaot....

    cguro depende na sa model.....naa cgro model or series sa hp nga dli jud maayo....

    haaaay, it seems techs are designed to be a lot more disposable in a shorter time these days! poor money!

    ATI radeon nalang cguro instead of nvidia i-prefer. unsa kaha mga PC gurus?!
