Thread: portforward

  1. #21

ive tried it. pero its too difficult that wala pa gyud ko ka-succeed. easy ra ang router if naay open ports, easy ra ang application layer using linux pero if sa uban na, never happened na nakasulod ko.

EDIT: plus i dont have the necessary hardware para mag-pen test ko ug proxy ug network layer. kay pang-industrial man na. if only a call center company would allow me to, i would gladly do it. hahahahaha. pero dili pa ko pro ha, novice lang

Nice try with this one personalmgt. I have some infos though para dili pud ma mislead ang uban with the one i quoted. In internetworking, there is what we call a standard that manufacturers, designers and engineers alike are taking into consideration and that is the OSI (Open Systems Interconnect) Layers. so we have seven layers, namely:

    Layer 7 - Application Layer
    Layer 6 - Presentation Layer
    Layer 5 - Session Layer
Layer 4 - Transport Layer (This where port numbering comes in, i.e. http port = 80)
Layer 3 - Network Layer (This where IP ADDRESSING and NAT come in, actually in between gyud ni ang NAT ug layer 3 and 4 kay involve man gud ni siya IP and port numbering depende sa setup.)
Layer 2 - Data Link Layer ( This is where mac addressing comes in)
Layer 1 - Physical Layer (This is where frames (from layer 2) are converted into Bits (as eletrical signals to be transmitted over the cables).

So mao na sila... So dili gyud nato pwede ingnon na lowest layer ang application kay in fact siya na ang highest layer sa OSI... But keep up the good work..

nahan jud ko ani na discussion dah... wehehehe

OT: by the way, asa diay ka work??

Thanks sploy for correcting. I was expecting na naay mo-correct nako kay sigurado man gyud ko na sayop ko and yeah, 7 layers of firewall ang naa. i just forgot to name the rest. I'm no cisco(cisco sucks, i can do all of their work WITH or WITHOUT a certification) guy or a ultra leet haxxor(im no C|EH too), so its fine
