lolz..this is not possible bai..data attenuation will occur if you tap multiple connection to a CAT 5 UTP without a repeater/hub..basin cable internet na imo pasabot..or can you post the name of the internet company nalang?..para mahibaw-an unsa ila gamit na technology..is there a splitter hardware for internet connection? their was a local isp here that provide connection using utp cable cat5 and provide connection through a series parallel cabling of utp cable. i dont know if this considered standard in networking but it works. have you seen BUS TOPOLOGY the structure is much more like that as i've picture runnig cables from haus to haus to provide connection and it has main cable. jsut like the idea use in tv cables.

^^dili lagi na mo work bai kai mo attenuate ang data ana inig abot sa PC2 to PCn..kung gusto ka shared topology gamit nalang hub/switch...

LRE is using a voice line to carry both voice and data in one line and this line can be a CAT5e cable. mind to tell us what connector does it use? Is it RJ45 or RJ11 from the main cable?

tolstoi is right, it wont work unless you will use hub/switch as your splitter.

Such a thing does exist. It's called a hub or switch. Compress that diagram, put it in a box, and put four ports ... there you have it.

kinda agree with that..but a hub/switch has a repeater component to boost data in every port so as to avoid attenuation.. Originally Posted by vern
