Default Re: pirated game w/ licensed cd key ok or not?

maybe some software has special security regarding registration. but NOT all software require you to install the orig CD. you CAN use the legal KEY even if you're using a pirated copy why? because you are paying for the license and not the software. as long as you have the orig CD and Key its ok.Â* I have pirated software that i later decided to buy orig version and it works fine and can connect to authentication servers as long as you use the Orig CD key. you should realize that what we're paying for is the license to use the software. that's why companies could easily send you replacement CD if you lost it or damaged it but if you ask for replacement CD key.. good luck.

    sample:
i installed pirated BattleField 2 game.. was able to run it ok but could not connect to the internet servers.
i had to buy orig copy and all i have to do is change CD key.Â* if you got problems with software that requires you to use CD, then cracks are usually not supported.. a workaround is to download what they usually call "mini image" of the CD.. there are a lot of them on the net. In fact I havent used my orig BF2 disc yet. im using a mini image to fool the software that i have the orig discs in the drive.Â* it is still legal. why? i own the orig copy.

and BTW.. i dont think cracking=pirating as long as you have own the orig copy. in fact some companies offer a cracked version after a few months the game has been released.

Akong namatngon sa kanang mga ingon-ana bro kay murag pwede man tingali. I'm not really sure, but most of these sites that offer "no-cd patches" often state: "...you are not to download this file unless you OWN the original game." Most of these sites are those that offer game emulations for ps/nes/sega/gameboy. Ang problema kung katuohan baning gipang-ingon nila.

Hey guys! there are 2 ways on how you can run your original game without using permanent cd that still enable you to login to battlenet providing that you enter the original cd key during installation.

First, you can use cd imaging as what DSX said. This is to create an image file of your game and store it to your hard drive, but of course u ned to install an application that will able to do it such as virtual drive (www.farstone.com). This is a space consuming tactics so u really ned to have a greater capacity of your HDD. Note that that some original cd has a copyright protection so dont expect that all will run as expected.

Second, the old practice is to download a no-cd crack original games. Most of the cracking now has included a feature that will give you acces to play online just like battlenet. Megagames & Gamecopyworld are some of the popular cracking site that provide you with this.

Take note that if your using only 1 the same cd key of your game and installed it to various workstations, it is proven that you cant log-in to play online simultaneously.

i think okay ra kay if you buy an original cd, you are entitled to one back-up copy. ambut lang sad if mu count na as back-up copy ang virtual cd.

    bitaw uy, wa koy sure.

the images that I was talking about is not equivalent to your whole CD image thingy.Â* What I meant is "mini image". it has a very big advantage over real images when it comes to size. my Battlefield2 mini image is only about 2MB but when mounted to daemon tools, it will look like the orig DVD with file size that of the orig DVD!
