Ever wondered if your old working nokia chargers can work with your new one?

I have 6300 which has a bundle AC-3u charger... and I have ACP-12u charger from a nokia 6600.... Im wondering too, if the 12u can be reliable, as alternate charger...

based on specs:
AC-3u ( 5.0v / 350ma )
ACP-12u ( 5.7v / 800ma )

well, on the specs its clear that the old acp-12u has more .7 volt and 450ma current more than the new charger which is ac-3u...

I tried using the acp-12u, just used an adaptor para masigo sa 6300 power charger port. and in my assessment it works... In my understanding, more voltage, more current the faster the battery will hold charge.

Do you have any idea about the cons and pros of this scenario?

acp12u + adaptor should work with 6300 without any problems...and it should finish charging faster.

I thought of that the first place sir... I just have to verify... Ya I should bring with me the 12u instead... for faster charging... Thanks for that information sir...

in other forum, they are discussing if using higher voltage/current chargers will or may' cause the battery to overheat. which is not good. and it also came into my mind, why the previous phones are not overheating using the 12u
