hahaha. BAYAD-MUNA ug ANAK-BAYAD...at first u think this is funny but it's not...and IMHO, this joke makes some sense.

regarding the case of Rachelle Mae, if proven true that she already belonged to the NPA, clearly this is not a WHITE PAPER THEORY. Mas high tech na ron mo indoctrinate ang NPA, not only to the clueless and innocent farmers but also sa mga brayt pud...especially sa mga batan-on. It's already a given that they have targeted UP campuses but now (my 2 cents) even the "cream of the crop" science high schools and private universities are not spared.

i have one office colleague before nga brayt, a supervisory engineer. did2 cla sa DOLE ky ilang gi complain ang ilang case sa company union and other labor issues w/ the company. Unya nag cge man toh cla miting sa usa ka labor partylist (i forgot the name). Ambot kung naunsa ky pagbalik niya, lahi na ug sabaw. Naa na cyay mga pinulungan mga murag matawag nato nga "subversive" and "leftist".

another lost youth. We could not change our society with this useless deaths, to useless passions, to useless ideologies. If life must be sacrificed it must be to something that actually stands for something and not just to some lost cause which ends up now as a stupid fad for the miserable.

She was smart, a youthful potential. But then this?

makaguol, that our youth, in the hope of trying to do something for good ends up doing something that isnt. there is nothing good in joining the communist rebellion. They too do not know what theyre fighting for, and even if they do, they become more dogmatic than Catholic apologist, they never understand why theyre ideology is untenable in our current soceity. Sge lang ug yawyaw nga ang atong nasod nagproblema pa sa mga isyu nga 50 ka tuig na nagedad. They worship the dead, they worship the past, they cant understand that the the country has changed since the martial law!

and now theyre sending the youth to their battlefield of no return, runaway train never coming back.

condolence! a soul that could have done so much. May God be with her.

    Destiny?

Life is a matter of choice and not a matter of luck... much more nga dili a matter of destiny.

i think we cannot blame her if ever she joined the NPA. our society is not a perfect society. we all know that our country is full of corruptions, injustice and all kinds of problems. she probably thought that by joining the left she could make a change. it may not be the right way but i guess she is also trying to do her part in changing the system and make a difference. we can only hope that our system will get better so that we can all live in harmony, in peace.

Yap, I agree. It is really hard to change the mindset of an individual for Marxism or Maoism. Especially those who have or developing "SCHIZOPHRENIA", a kind of mental illness that commonly found to a leader or individual, who they think that they have special mission in this earth or they can change the world with their hand. That's why it is always relate extremism-activism to schizophrenia.

Thinking of Ruling the the world is a serious symptom of a schizophrenic person.

I'm not saying that leaders of Communist Party of the Philippines are suffering from that mental illness, they are likely to have that. Because when you join the group (i.e. Student activism)... the first thing they will do is to DEPRESS the mind of their prospective leaders/members by repeatedly discussing and materializing issues such as political killings, Imperialism(which is really never exist),etc. After depression, aggression will be next state of their mind, where they become more and more violent. (i.e. arm struggle and bloody street protest). Depression and aggression are two of the main cause of SCHIZOPHRENIA
