Our 1st grade teacher taught us this song; we sang it almost every morning. When I grew up I began to think that maybe, due to some bouts of loneliness, I actually was the one who made the entire song, or worse - that I invented for myself a false memory; that there was really no such thing as early morning singing sessions during 1st grade; all these because I could not find anyone who could give me the title, or tell me that they, too, have heard of it. Thanks to the internet, though, I knew I wasn't crazy.

My cousin had a girlfriend named Carol and we always teased him about it by singing this song with matching sayaw-sayaw. Lol.

This song stirs up deep emotions in me. It brings me back to the time when I was still a pre-schooler. We lived inside the Atlas mining compound in Toledo. Our house was surrounded thickly by woods -- tall trees which trunks were covered by all sorts of vines. There was also a river near our backyard, and a small bridge over it. For many years I believed that a tita of mine actually sang that song. I loved the soft melody of the song. The last scene that I can remember in those days was this one wherein I was being carried away by my lolo because I was having temper tantrums (It amazes me, now that I think about it, that I'm actually recalling my toddlerhood years). I just saw my mother ride off in a bus because she was going to give birth to my brother. I was crying and shouting and I remember throwing my toy gun to the river because I was so mad that I couldn't go with my mom hehe...
