Mitsubishi Montero v.s Toyota Fortuner

i didn't, had a toyota for over a month didn't even reached 1000kms.. Wow! and the resale value was like sh*t pwerte pa pangatawa sa taga KIA when they recieved it gitamay ba hehehe

They were probably laughing more at why someone would trade in their newly bought Fort for a Kia. Gi sakay sakayan lang ka bro para pagana nimo.... nadala lang ka sa salestalk nila... after all.. ilang gi apas kay maka halin.

Kung resale value, Toyota has one of the highest resale value here in the Philippines and in any other country.

Pila diay gi hatag nga tade-in price sa Kia nimo bro? And.. like Springfield said.. lahi ang trade-in value sa resale value.

You should've sold your Fortuner to someone else and bought a Montero instead of a Kia.. As you said nindot man inyong experience with Mitsu.

Ako na observe kay people place a lot of value into their personal experience with a certain brand/model.. which plays a big factor into their purchasing decision.

Chances are, if you drive a mitsu, toyota or honda... you will condition yourself to believe that it's the best car ever... for the simple reason that it's your car. Never mind the industry sales figures and customer satisfaction ratings... ultimately.. it's customer perception... maybe they had an unfortunate experience with the car or the sales agents/service crew... some may call it an isolated case.. pero nadaot na ilang trust sa brand based on that experience.

Im sure naay dissatisfied customers... naa man say satisfied customers... and people who had a bad exerience are more likely to tell others than someone who hasn't had any problem.

If we base it on forums like istorya and tsikot, the sales volume of a vehicle plays a big factor in determining the percentage of complaints.

So if the Fortuner is outselling the Montero 50units to 10units... and we see around 2 complaints sa fortuner then 1 complaint sa Montero.. percentage wise, mas dako ghapon ang dissatisfaction rating sa Montero. Consequently.. the number of posts from users claiming to have a particular problem with the car should be taken into account. If 1-2 users have reported the problem.. and around 100,000 wala... then would that be considered as a factory defect or an isolated case?


Anyway,

I think that the gauge for any car manufacturer is how well its products do regardless of the market they are in.

Honda, Toyota and other Car manufacturers make and design vehicles globally... the U.S. and Philippine version of the Civic, Corolla, Camry are the same car with just minor changes (looks, heater, cruise control).

American cars need not apply ? is TOYOTA and MITSUBISHI a DOMESTIC CAR for you ? I know I may sound stupid to you but the comparison here really applies because it was not an APPLE against an ORANGE at all . It is still MITSUBISHI and TOYOTA .

Two different market... Two different factories....

SAme brand..... but not the same factory built it.... MOST UNITS from Mitsubishi and Toyota come from THAILAND... do american CARs come from THAILAND??

Mao lage ...Toyota may lack FEATURES in its AUDIO SYSTEM but it doesnt necessarily mean its CHEAP as to how you interpreted it . or likewise I would end up paying more for less . You dont purchase a TOYOTA because of its CAR AUDIO features . Murag comparable bitaw karon na I want a new SAMSUNG PHONE because it has 10 MP sa ilahang camera features . You might as well buy a REAL DIGICAM instead of a phone since you wanted a bigger megapixel .

Cellphones are different... We are talking STANDARD AUDIO for CARS.... from the LOOKS of it... WHO GIVE VALUE FOR MONEY?? not TOYOTA..... you are really paying up MORE for LESS with Toyota.....

It is indeed RELIABLE and DURABLE . Thats exactly what you paid for . When you have prorblems with TOYOTA , bisan 50 pamo kabuok diri sa forums , that is still considered an ISOLATED CASE . Why do you think ithe ALTIS and the VIOS are popular choices of the TAXI OPERATORS compared to the SENTRA and the LANCER ?

Problems WITH PRICING... that is what I CALL IT...... hulat lang MAG cherry nana mga Taxi operators ka dugayan... COKE uses cute RED CHERRY QQ for their salesmen.....

Pataka ra man ka oi !!! A local unit Pajero still goes up to the high 700's while the surplus Pajero's , dili na siya mo saka na 400's .

Pajero is durable.... why else would there be a lot of surplus pajeros running... reliable and durable.... VALUE for money.... the demand is still there....

Again if you have problems with PRICING.. go ASK TOYOTA.. they are CHARGING PREMIUM for CHEAP components.....




Toyota TOP of the LINE Fortuner V 4X4 1.8m PESOS.....

Mitsubishi montero GLS sport top of the line 1.6M PESOS.....



unsaon... you pay 200,000 more for almost ALL CHEAP components and probably just Air...... 200,000 more for durability and cheap standard equipment....

I'll take that 200,000 and the montero ANYTIME....

in a new york minute hehehe! nindot pa gyud kaau ride ang montero and mitsubishi means durability in my opinion and Jackie Chan's opinion hehehe kay tried and tested naman gud ni namo... ang monty nga bag-o ra display sa south halin na..

if i could turn back time wish i waited for the montero sport, pero nagdali naman gud ko kay labad na kaayo ako ulo with toyota that time... wa man nikatawa ang KIA sa akoa ang sakyanan man ila gikataw-an kay bati dawg design murag nahiwe ang lubot nya bati gyud kuno kaayo wala na daw nindot nga napagawas ang toyota lately...

and i say this with all the LOVE in the world.. just like the folks at KIA i think padung na gyud laos ang Toyota... not all company stay at number 1 because when your number 1 where else would you be next?
