A lot of things written in the Bible never really happened.
The Moses' miracles were just extra ordinary circumstances
exaggerated thru typical passing of accounts or message relay.
No miracles there, if you really studied the events in the world during those times.

God has never talked to man before and God never will.

I don't subscribe to that idea.
I know how much people want to think that love and sanity is not related, right?

Think of it this way.
Love is one of the emotions of desire.
Just like the natural motives of need.
It is nature of man to desire and need something.
Sanity is there to control that NEED.
So Sanity is there to control these needs.
Sanity is necessary to humans to be able to control and satisfy these needs.

Some people think that love is outside our mind and sanity is inside our mind.
Emotions are triggered by external stimulants that consequently triggers the production of body chemicals that gets in and out of our blood cells, body cells, neurons and impulses in the brain.
These chemicals commands our behavior.
Our brain uses sanity, brain activity that processes everything to check these needs or behavior.

Example:
You body needs food.
Any animal normally would eat any food they can see.
But our Sanity studies the situation.
Is this food safe? Is this food for me? Does this for belong to someone?
This is what separates humans from animals.

Your statement originally means that love is just an ornament of our sanity.

But for me sanity is there for love.

Let me put it this way:
Without love, we do not need sanity.
Without desires, we do not need control.
